Trade Mark Attorneys Achieve Chartered Status

We are pleased to share with you the news that the Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys has achieved the Royal Charter with effect from today, Thursday 24 November 2016.

Previously, the Royal Charter for Intellectual Property was held by the Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys or CIPA, and of course all our Patent Attorneys are Chartered Patent Attorneys.  The grant of a Royal Charter to the Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys recognises the specialised nature of the work undertaken by Members of the Chartered Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys and the high standards applied by CITMA to its members.

Our Trade Mark Attorneys Jane Martin and Clare Turnbull are now Chartered Trade Mark Attorneys.  Only Members of CITMA are entitled to call themselves Chartered Trade Mark Attorneys and Jane and Clare are delighted to be able to use this prestigious title.

The Chartered Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys has issued a press release which can be viewed on this link.
